A beautiful hunting jacket made by Duxbak. Duxbak were the main contractors for the rare US Navy AL1 jacket and here you can see a pretty much dead on adaptation of the pattern for the civilian market. Poplin shell with great 4 pocket design, added game pockets to back, storm cuffs and stunning full alpaca pile lining! Nice spring loaded crown zipper fastening, it’s also had period addition of leather added to the pocket trims and hem. It’s a great looking jacket and rare opportunity to find an AL1 type in a bigger size (originals are always tiny!)
In great vintage condition. This piece is near 70 years old.
We consider wear and repairs part of the garments story but “flaws” of note are -
marks / discolour to shell in various places, some small hand repairs near pockets as shown.
