A great US Army M1917 pattern wool shirt from the 1910s. This is a nice example is a pullover with reinforced elbow patched, cotton half lined top and patch pockets. Has a civilian label for Utica clothiers Des Moines Iowa, and the wool does feel finer than other examples I’ve had with mil spec labels so could be a private purchase or maybe just a war effort using Civi suppliers. Either way it has a story as can be seen from the wear and mismatched buttons it’s gathered over time! A great ‘antique’ piece with a lot of history!
Condition
In good vintage condition, it’s got some light marks as expected of a military piece but otherwise is excellent. This piece is over 100 years old.
it’s had a mismatch of buttons over the years, repair to the front and elbow as shown. A small mark on the right arm.
Please study all photos provided and request any extra pictures if required.
Size
Size not marked, but is like an extra small. Remember it’s a pullover so tighter to get on.
