A stunning piece of French Workwear Dating back to the 1920s. Made in a loverly light but tough linen, its softened and faded beautifully over years. This was originally a long duster type jacket (pic 12), that we had sitting around for ages and decided to remake into something more wearable. We have shortened it into a classic early 4 button chore style, the like that are beyond rare nowadays. It had some lovely hand darns throughout which we have then added to to cover some rust marks, it’s a true one off piece that shows a ton of character.
Condition
In great vintage condition. This piece is near 100 years old.
We consider wear and repairs part of the garments story but “flaws” of note are -
original hand darned repairs in addition to our own. Some rust marks from the metal collar tab but generally in places that aren’t seen when worn (we darned over the worse more visible ones). As mentioned jacket has been shortened.
All items are washed and steamed prior to sale.
