
Rare M38 field jacket used by the army during WW2. rarely seen predecessor to the more common m41 jacket, It features a beige green cotton poplin shell with 1/2 belt detailing, action back and waist adjustment and finished with a wool lining. The zip fastening is a nice original Talon. Classic pieces that’s been referenced in many a film.
Condition
In great vintage condition. This piece is over 75 years old.
We consider wear and repairs part of the garments story but “flaws” of note are -
Some light marks as expected, label is present but illegible. It’s had an old nicely done repair to the collar fold and We have refinished the cuff fold so it has a nice clean seam.

Size not marked but fits like a modern small.
Measures approximately 21.75” armpit to armpit, 18” across the shoulders, 24.5” back of neck to base, 16” pit to cuff, 23.5” shoulder to cuff and 21” across waist. All measurements are in inches, if you are unsure about fit and if you require further measurements please just ask.
