Rare First Pattern Us Navy A2 deck jacket. Nicely clear label dating it to 1964. Unlike the later pattern this first pattern has a heavier cotton sateen shell, reinforced cuff ends and pointed pocket top. The zip fastening is a nice brass Scovill. The stencil is lovely and clear to the back, this piece shows a lot of character!
In great vintage condition. This piece is over 55 years old.
We consider wear and repairs part of the garments story but “flaws” of note are -
Some marks to the shell. Light wear the collar fold. We have repaired arm / cuff areas and we have also replaced the reinforced cuff ends with correct fabric, and the knitted cuffs have been replaced.
