Garment Repair
Apologies but we are currently not offering a customer repair service whilst we work on other projects.
Thanks for understanding and We will update should this change in the future.
We believe that any garment that makes it to our wardrobes should be a piece for life, and will only get better with age, and we encourage repair over rebuying when possible. Our sympathetic service covers both machine and hand repairs and we’re happy to discuss all options possible to restore your garment as you see fit.
Over the years we have collected a massive stock of original Zips, buttons and fabrics so anything we mend is as original as possible.
Please browse our before /After gallery and we would love to hear from you if you have a piece that requires attention.
We will also be having sporadic releases of our own label, Make Good, where we develop unusable fabrics into products, that we feel will stand the test of time.
How It Works
Pricing and Payment
Please provide honest and clear photographs of the garment requiring repair. The quoted price is a provisional estimate based on this, and I reserve the right to adjust the quote upon receipt and inspection of the item in accordance with the complexity of the work. We will also give advice and quote if we think the item would benefit from work in addition to what you have initially specified.
Once an item is received, you will be invoiced before work is undergone. All payments must be completed before work on an item begins.
Your item
Please ensure that before shipping to us that your garments are Cleaned and dry. This is not just for Hygiene, but to ensure a better colour match can be made, and weaker areas of fabric can be identified. Failure to do so can result in return of goods.
Shipping
Once you have had your initial quote and filled in the Repair Form,
We take no responsibility for the item during transit both to and from us. We only ship via signed for methods and recommend you do the same. You will be charged for return postage and packaging.
If you are sending from overseas, please mark the customs value at below £20(GBP) and be aware that if you want it insured to a certain value for return shipping you may have duties to pay.
PLEASE NOTE
Our work is among the best in our field, but repairs are not permanent and the longevity of the repair will differ depending on many factors. Given we specialise in Vintage & Antique garments there are many factors that vary. We take no responsibility for items after we have completed our work.
Timescale
Time for completion of work will always vary. If you need your garment returned by a deadline, please make this clear in initial quote and you will be advised if this is possible.
